And when you again plug the USB back to its place, the computer will revert back normal. 

WinLockr

WinLockr is another freeware that lets you lock or unlock your Windows computer using a USB flash drive. It supports automatic Keyboard Locking. In addition to this, it comes with a nice Shutdown prevention feature, that prevents shutdowns or restarts while it is active. USL is an open source USB locking freeware that lets you lock and unlock your device using a USB flash drive. The software can run on almost all USB devices, including MP3 players, Card Readers, etc. There is a limitation of this software, and that it can protect your computer only under normal boot. Every computer has hardware problems eventually, so it’s important to keep hardware diagnostic tools on hand. It could be because your computer will not boot due to a problem which could be either hardware of software related.

But you don’t need to spend money on expensive tools. These five free tools can help you diagnose most hardware problems.

Memory Scan

It’s almost impossible to diagnose a problem with your computer memory (RAM) without a memory scanner. Luckily, you don’t need a special hardware memory checker—you can use a tool to boot your computer into a special mode which will check your memory. There are several good tools, but I recommend the open source MemTest86, which works on Intel-style 32-bit and 64-bit PCs.

CheckDisk / BadBlocks

If you think your hard drive has a problem, you need to check the whole drive for possible errors. If you find a few errors, you may be able to continue to use the drive as long as you re-check the drive on a regular basis. If you find a bunch of errors, you’ll need to replace the drive.

The free tool built into Windows XP and higher to check your drive is called CHKDSK (for Check Disk). Linux bootable CDs and USB drives include a similar but more comprehensive tool called badblocks.

Spare Cables

Although spare cables aren’t free if you buy them separately, most people who regularly buy computer accessories tend to accumulate spare cables. Don’t throw out those spare cables. A surprisingly large number of hardware problems are caused by failing cables, and swapping your current cable with a spare is a simple and free way to test whether or not your problems are caused by bad cables.

Sensors

One of reasons hardware fails inside your computer is because your computer gets too hot. Overheating happens when the vents on your case are obstructed, or when dust accumulates inside your case, or when your computer cooling fans fail.

Almost all computers have one or more heat sensors built in them. Many computers also include additional sensors for fan speed and other important hardware maintenance functions. You can read these sensors using free tools such as Microsoft Temperature Sensor Gadget or the freeware SpeedFan.

Linux Live CD / USB

Sometimes you can’t tell whether a problem on your computer is caused by a hardware failure or a software failure. If that’s the case, your best tool is to try a fresh operating system. You can use the recovery mode provided on many computers, but often it’s best to just use a whole new operating system.

Bootable (“Live”) Linux CDs, DVDs, and USB sticks make that easy. You insert the disc or USB stick in your computer, reboot, and get a whole fully-functional Linux operating system. You can see if your hardware works correctly in Linux. If it does, you know your problem is software related on Windows. If the hardware still doesn’t work correctly, you know it’s a hardware problem and you can get started fixing or replacing it.

Once the Dropbox software is installed in your computer, you can share the folder containing images as a whole within a few minutes. When the recipient opens the internet connection, the folder will be downloaded automatically. Let us see the method of installation of Dropbox and the image sharing method.

Go to  https://www.dropbox.com and register an account. After registration, you can sign in to use the software. Down load the Dropbox software from http://www.dropbox.com and install in your computer. Once it is installed you will get a confirmation mail, by clicking it, you will be prompted for email address verification. Once it is done, your computer will be ready for sharing the images.

1. The Dropbox icon will be available at the right bottom corner of the desktop. Click to open it.

2. Once the folder is opened, right click on it and make a New folder as you create in desktop.

3. Copy / Cut and paste all the images from the computer or digital camera into the newly created folder in the Dropbox.

4. The images will automatically sinks in the folder and you can see a tick in each image. If it is not sinking, right click and sink.

5. Now the folder is ready to share.

6. Right click on the folder containing the images. A menu will appear like Dropbox- share this folder.

7. When you click on it, a box will appear to give the e mail address of the contact persons to share the folder. You can give any number of email addresses and can share the folder at the same time.

8. After giving the email address ,click done. Sharing will takes place instantly.

9. When sharing is done, you will get a confirmation mail when the contact person receives the folder with the photos.

 Too simple you can send photos and videos up to 2 GB which is not possible through ordinary email. The whole process takes only 2 minutes. When the contact person opens internet connection, the folder will be downloaded automatically in his computer.

Updating the delivery status of Aadhaar articles now a days creating a headache to the Operating Staffs and also the administrative side also. How it is known this much of article is pending in your office? simple!! Just check the indiapostweb site and you can find a huge thousands of articles pending for updating. But there are some bugs in Indian Postal Dept website. Most of the missent articles are not Updated in website ie; suppose an article numbered UGxxxxxxxxxIN received as missent at YY Office and the same is sent to the correct Post Office by YY, still this article UGxxxxxxxxxIN will be found as not delivered by YY untill the correct postoffice Updates the delivery.

To write this post we have an inspiration; One of our Spm told us that the administrative side pointed out that there are more than 144 UID articles is to be updated; which are shown as Undelivered for More Than 25 days. Among those articles only 3 or 4 article status is to be updated and up to 10-15 articles were received as missent and they have been dispatched.

But the shocking thing is more than 130 UID Aadhaar articles were not received by that office till 05/06/2012 . In the indiapost site these articles are shown as Undelivered More Than 25 days. After long waiting the Bag including article received on06/06/2012. But still these articles are in Undelivered status for more than 25 days.
