Who Can Participate?
Students must be pursuing one of the relevant courses mentioned below and may be at any level of study in their course.
Pursuing Class XI / XII (any stream) with a CBSE / ICSE / IB / State Govt. / Private School.
Themes for School Students
Students should submit their essay in any one of the areas mentioned below. The submission could be accompanied by a video or any program or prototype if you consider appropriate.

Essays are invited in the following areas:
IIMT
- Oxford Brookes Innovation Challenge has been instituted in 2010 by
IIMT and Oxford Brookes University, UK to create a platform for
expression of innovative ideas of young undergraduates in India. The
effort is to address the problems faced by India in numerous areas. The
effort is to bring out a change at the grass root levels and bring in
these ideas to organisations which could adopt these ideas and usher in a
change.

- Deploying technology for healthcare/education/transport/water management and global issues.
- Ecotourism-Benchmarking global best practices-Road map of India.
- Role of society and government for conserving environment.
- Making education more relevant for changing society-curriculum/pedalogy.
- Role of IT Companies in improving school education.
- Corporate Social Responsibility - purpose initiatives where corporate firms can participate.
- Deploying social media to build campaigns which will help India grow.
Format for Submission
he submission of the essay should be in the prescribed standard format.
General presentation
Font - Arial
Font Size - 12pt
Line Spacing - Single
All Margins - 1.5''
Text Alignment - Justified
Word count - 2500 including references
Word count should not exceed by 20% of the word limit. Excess words would lead to cancellation of an entry to be considered.
Format for abstract submission
Total no. of pages – 1 (word count – 100 words)
The word count should not exceed 125 words
Select a theme and work in groups of 2-4 members
Duly filled Student Participation form must be sent along with the abstract
Format for final essay submission
Total no. of pages - five (word count - Approx 2500 words)
The word count should not exceed 3000 words
Select a theme and work in groups of 2-4 members
The following areas should be covered in the essay
Propose a new idea which focuses on one of the themes and propose a solution for the same
Elaborate on what difference can this solution make?
How will the idea be executed?
What kind of budget requirement may be there for implementation of the idea?
Who will implement the idea?
What kind of support may be required to implement the same?
Important
Complete and valid Student Participation Form must be
scanned and emailed along with abstract. This is compulsory for your
entry to be considered valid.
Please mention submission theme in the subject line of all email communication.
If you would like to send a video / supporting materials, you are welcome to do so.
