Clarification on Inspector Posts Examination 2011 to be held on 3rd and 4th of September 2011.

Directorate has issued orders clarifying various issues related with the conduction of Inspector Posts examination - 2011, scheduled to be held on 3rd and 4th of September, 2011. The doubts and clarifications are:

(i) Whether the proposed IP Examination pertains to the year 2010 only and not for the year 2011:

The proposed IP Examination is for the year 2011 only

(ii) The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination has been fixed as 30^thJune, 2011.

The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination is 1^st July, 2011.

Madam,

I am directed to refer to your office letter No. Rectt. / 48 – 3 / 2010, dated 15.07.2011 andsubsequent your D O letter dated 20.07.2011 to clarify the following two issues:

(i)

Whether the proposed IP Examination pertains to the year 2010 only and not for the year 2011

(ii) The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination has been fixed as 30^thJune, 2011. As per rule 279 / 1 – 3 ( a ) of P & T Manual , Vol. IV, the cut-off date is 1^st

July preceding the date fixed for the examination

2. It is informed that the above mentioned issues have been examined in this office and the item-wise clarifications are given below:

(i) The proposed I P Examination is for the year 2011 only;

(ii) The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination is 1^st July, 2011
